　　1.短语as a result妙用

　　1)as a result是一个习惯短语，意为因此结果。

　　As a result, the discussion was put off until the following week. 结果讨论被推迟到了下星期。

　　2)as a result of意为因为由于的结果，用来作状语。

　　He is unable to go to work as a result of the fall off the horse. 由于他从马上摔了下来，他不能去上班了。

　　3)result用作名词，意为结果效果后果比赛的结果(考试)成绩等。

　　①前者可以表示物质名词，统一表示药物，而后者不可以。表示服药时，medicine习惯与动词take搭配，而不是eat。

　　②如take medicine。drug也有相同的用法，但是注意如果是take a drag和take drugs的话，含不同的意思，为服麻醉药。

　　③medicine既可指合成的药，也可指单纯的药，但drug只可指单纯的药，例如中药六神丸属于合成药，是medicine，而不是drug，甘草是单纯的药，既是medicine，也是drug。
