中国传统民间故事：蹶与蛩蛩、距虚

Jue is kind of beast in north. Its forelegs are as short as those of a mouse; rear legs are as long as those of a hare. When it walks so fast, it will fall down sometimes. When it runs, it falls head even more frequently. Whenever Jue has spare time, it will gather some fresh grasses and bring them to Qiongqiong and Jiuxu who are not good at finding food when danger approaches, Qiongqiong and Jiuxu will carry Jue on their back and run away together. 

蹶是北方的一种野兽。 它的前腿像老鼠的一样短小，而后腿却像兔子的一样长大。 平时走路的时候，只要稍快一些，就会摔倒，跑起来的时候，更是跟头不断。 蹶一旦有空闲，总是采集一些鲜美的青草，送给不擅长弄到食物的蛩蛩和距虚吃。而每当危险迫近的时候，蛩蛩、距虚就必定会找到蹶，背起它一齐逃走。
