雅思听力：相貌场景的考点及词汇解读

　　描述人物相貌特征的场景，即相貌场景是IELTS的一个考点，这个考点仅出现在Section1中，根据统计结果，在过去已经考过的Version中，有3个Version考到了相貌场景，它们分别是：Version 23的Section 1； Version 25的Section 1； Version 31的Section 1。下面首先介绍一下这三个Version的具体考点：

　　Version 23： 两名强盗抢劫了一位老妇人，证人向警察描述两个罪犯的特征，证人描述the young thief was 17 years old， curly black hair， tall and slim，whereas the elder thief was 35 years old， the distinguished feature was a small scar in his chin.

　　Version 25： Alex向一个男孩描述她的祖母：Alexs grandmother came from Russia and she was a dancer，her appearance was blond hair and beautiful.

　　Version 31： 要求考生选出一个男生的特征，文章说他wear glasses and with beard and moustache

　　这个考点常见的题型为填空题和选择题。为了在这部分上不失分，考生一定要熟悉常见的描述人物相貌特征的词汇以及常用的表达方式。主要的特征类别包括年纪、体型、面部特征、头发、着装等。下面分别对这些类别加以描述。

　　年纪：young，old， years old

　　体型：tall，high，short， small ，fat，stocky，slim， thin，slender，medium-built。Beautiful， 170 centimeters tall。同时大家应记住这些词合理的组合方式，比如tall and slim，不应该是short and slim。

　　面部特征： beardand moustache，clean-shaven，dimple， scar，chin。注意这些词的相互搭配。比如a small scar in his chin。常佩戴的东西有jewelry，hat和glasses。

　　头发：curly black hair， blond hair， pigtail， wavy hair， straight hair， short hair， long hair， spiky hair。

　　着装： formal dress：suit and tie，casual dress：jeans and T shirts，loose clothes，tight clothes，shirt，女裙，white，dark，black，light。

　　注意：在描述一个人的特征时，大部分场合是用肯定句直接陈述出来的，但有时会用一些语气和否定句来表达前后之间的变化，听的时候一定要小心。比如下面的例句：

　　问题：What does Bill look like now？

　　文本：Youve changed since this photo！ What happened to your beard and moustache？ And youre not wearing glasses either.

　　大家首先应该听到这句话的关键词changed，接下来的一句话What happened to your beard and moustache？ 说明Bill已经没有胡子了；而And youre not wearing glasses either，是一个否定句，他也不戴眼镜了，考生应该能够听出not这个词，此外either也是否定句的一个标志。根据这两个特征即可选出正确答案。
