That’s because he exercises daily.

(那是因为他每天都锻炼。)

active “活动的”、 “有活力的”。for ... “虽然……”。

Despite his age, my boss is quite active.

(我老板虽然上了年纪，可是精力却很好。)

despite ... “虽然……”。

My boss is in good shape for his age.

be in good shape “健康状态好的”。

我能读懂他的心思。

How did you know he would do that?

(你怎么知道他会那么做?)

I can read his mind.

(我能读懂他的心思。)

read “理解”。

I know what he is thinking.

I can read his thoughts.

thought “思考”、 “想法”。

全写在你的脸上了。

I’m so angry. (我很生气。)

It’s written all over your face.

(全写在你的脸上了。)

written是write的过去分词。all over 指“到处”、 “全都”。

It’s obvious.

(显而易见。)

obvious “明显的”、 “显然的”。

You show it.

(我看出来了。)

【点菜的方法】

在饭店就餐时的点菜从饭前的饮料开始。下面我们就来举一些美国饭店服务员常说的话。

Good evening. My name is John, and I’ll be your waiter this evening. Would you like something from

the bar?

例如，有“baked”、 “french fries”、 “mashed”等等。
