南科大学生未参加高考

Forty-five students of South University of Science and Technology did not take the college entrance exams Tuesday, the first day of the exams, Beijing News reports.

《新京报》消息，周二高考第一天，南方科技大学45名学生无一参加高考。

Two classrooms were prepared for the exams, but no one took the exam papers. After 15 minutes, the exams were canceled.

南科大为高考准备了两间教室，但无人来领试卷，15分钟之后，两个考场的考试取消。

University President Zhu Qingshi said that students not taking the test is not a total denial of the college entrance exam system, and the exams are still a relatively fair way to select talent. However, not all students should have to take the exam.

南科大校长朱清时回应说，孩子们的拒考并不是对整个高考制度的否定，高考在当下比较起来仍然是唯一相对公平的选拔人才的方式，但是不能“一刀切”。

The education system should allow the blossoming of various kinds of flowers, and South University of Science and Technology, which hasn't been recognized by the Department of Education, is one way for students to blossom, Zhu said.

他说，教育制度应该允许百花齐放，而南科大就是这百花齐放中的一朵小花。据悉，南科大至今仍然没有得到教育部的正式承认。
