[提到问路，我们在中学就学过“Can you please tell me the way to ...?”。这个句型仍然实用。不过为了避免每次问路一点变化也没有，我们来学一学其他的问路法吧。 1. What are the landmarks around there?

那附近有什么明显的建筑物没有? 不管是开车还是走路，要问路最好是除了路名之外，再问问附近有没有什么明显的建筑物。landmark这个词本意就是地标，这里用来表示“标志性建筑”，实在是个很好用的词。下次你问路加上一句“What are the landmarks around there?”就可以了。 相似的表达法还有“Are there any obvious buildings around?”或者“What should I look for?” ，不过这两个句子没有第一个那么常用。 2. What is the fastest way?

哪一条路最快? 走路都喜欢抄近路，没有人喜欢绕弯的。“走哪条路最快?” 英语就是“What is the fastest way?”或者“Which way is quicker?” 毫无疑问，自然是捷径最快。捷径的英文是 shortcut，那么“抄捷径”就是 take a shortcut, 或是 cut corners。不过也有时候近路没抄到反而绕了一大圈，这就是 take a detour啦。

3. Is this the way to the Friendship Hotel？

这是往Friendship Hotel的路吗? 如果有一天你跟一个美国友人走到十字路口，你不知道要往哪走，你就可以问他“Which way?” 或是指着某一条路问他：Is this the way to (some place) ? 4. How far from here?

从这去有多远? 这可是绝对简单易懂的问法。我想，也没有几个人会听不懂吧！
