　　很多妈妈为了照顾孩子，都会放弃自己的事业追求；女儿们也是一样，父母老了以后，为了照顾他们，就会选择“女儿职业道路”。

　　Daughter track is a career path where a woman reduces her chances of advancement by working flextime or fewer hours to look after her elderly parents.

　　“女儿职业道路”是指女性为照顾年老的父母，利用弹性时间工作或减少工作时长，从而减少了自己职业晋升机会的一种职业发展道路。

　　Daughter track这个词与mommy track（母亲职业道路）相对，后者指母亲为照顾孩子而采取的同样做法。

　　Example:

　　The survey found that women were more likely to shoulder responsibilities for caring for the elderly and take a so-called "daughter track" approach, in which their careers are slowed as they juggle work and parental care.
