Jie Hu's personal enemy thought that Jie Hu did not hate him any more after he had heard that Jie Hu had recommended himself. So he went to Jie Hu's mansion and was about to seek reconciliation with him.

But out of his expectation, Jie Hu pulled the bow pointing the arrow at him and said, "I recommended you for the sake of national interests, because you are the right person for the post. Although you are my personal enemy, I would not let that affect your serving the country, and harm the national interests. Personally, I still hate you. Go away from my house!"

解狐的仇人得知自己被赵简子重用是因为解狐的推荐后，认为解狐已经消除了对自己的怨恨，便来到解狐的府上，准备和好。

不料，解狐却拉开弓，瞄准了他，说：“我推荐你是为了国家，因为你适合担当这个职务。和你有仇是我个人的事。我不会用私仇来妨碍你为国效力，耽误国家的大事。就我个人而言，我依然恨你，请你立即离开我家门口。”
