你手机里有“膨胀软件”吗？

　　买手机的时候说存储空间有4G，可买回家一看发现剩余空间不到1G了，查来查去才知道原来是预装软件太多，占去了大部分的存储空间。更可气的是，这些预装软件你几百年都可能用不到。

　　Bloatware refers to pre-installed software on your phone that provides more bells and whistles than you'd ever need in your wildest dreams, but irritatingly occupies so much space that there's no room for the things that you actually want to use!

　　Bloatware（膨胀软件）指手机中预装的那些你根本用不到的花哨功能软件，让人气愤的是，这些软件占去了很多的存储空间，从而导致手机中没有空间安装你真正想用的软件！

　　Though the term bloatware, sometimes also described as fatware, is usually used in the context of mobile phones, it can in fact be used in relation to any hand-held device or computer. Both terms are a pejorative way of describing software that 'wastes' memory or disk space. This wastefulness can occur in various ways.

　　膨胀软件有时也被称作fatware（肥胖软件），虽然这一类软件通常用于手机领域，但其实任何掌中设备或电脑都有可能涉及到这个问题。不论bloatware还是fatware都是对那些浪费存储空间软件的贬义称呼，而它们浪费空间的方式也多种多样。

　　The term bloatware was coined by analogy with software, hardware etc and figurative use of the verb bloat which literally means 'to cause to swell with liquid or gas'.(Source: macmillandictionary.com)

　　Bloatware这个词是比照着software（软件）和hardware（硬件）等词加上表示“膨胀”的动词bloat的比喻用法结合而成的。
