7月12日6时38分，河北省唐山市古冶区发生5.1级地震，河北省人民政府已启动三级应急响应。

7月12日，消防救援人员在河北省唐山市古冶区卑家店镇前巍峰山村村民家中排查。应急管理部表示，此次地震震源深度10千米，震中古冶区位于北京市东南部170公里、天津市西北处约130公里处。唐山市宣传部门表示，截至7月12日晚，没有接到人员伤亡及严重损失报告。
