height用作名词时可数吗

1. 表示“高”“高度”“身高”等，可用作可数或不可数名词。注意以下用法：
(1) 一般说来，若表示泛指意义的“身高”或抽象意义的“身高”，通常不可数。如：http://yingyu.chazidian.com
He is above the middle height. 他是中等以上的身材。
They were both of middle height. 他们两人都是中等身材。
It was close on ten feet in height. 它们接近10英尺高。
The plane rapidly gained height. 飞机急速升高。
The teacher lined the students up according to height. 老师把学生按个儿高矮排好队。
(2) 若表示某一特定的高度，可与不定冠词连用。如：
The aircraft was flying at a height of 2000 feet. 飞机在2000英尺的高空飞行。
Such birds can fly at a height of 15,000 feet. 这种鸟能在15,000英尺的高空飞行。
Her injuries are consistent with a fall from a great height. 她的伤情与从高处坠落的情况相符。
(3) 若强调不同人或事物的高度，可用复数形式。如：

2. 若表示“高处”“高地”“山顶”等，通常要用复数形式。如：

注：这样用时，还通常见于某些地名中。如：

3. 若表示“顶点”“高潮”，通常不可数，但有时可连用不定冠词。如：
Summer was at its height. 正值盛夏。
The revolt has come to a height. 起义达到了高潮。
