6月8日，中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平在宁夏回族自治区吴忠市的一个社区考察时讲道，各民族都是中华民族大家庭的一份子，脱贫、全面小康、现代化，一个民族也不能少。

President Xi Jinping on June 8 said all ethnic groups are part of the big family of the Chinese nation and no ethnic group should be left behind in the country's fight against poverty, in its building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and in its drive toward modernization. Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks when he inspected a community in Wuzhong, a city in northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

2020年6月7日，在宁夏吴忠市红寺堡区现代纺织产业园内，工人在生产线上忙碌。党的十八大以来，以习近平同志为核心的党中央就民族工作作出一系列重大决策部署，推动我国民族团结进步事业取得了新的历史性成就。7年多以来，习近平总书记十几次到民族地区调研，深入雪域高原、天山南北、祖国北疆、西南边陲，同各族群众面对面交流，还频繁同各族群众通信。7年多以来，各族人民在党的团结带领下共同奋斗，不断创造美好生活，民族地区面貌日新月异、少数民族群众生活蒸蒸日上。习近平表示，中华民族一家亲、同心共筑中国梦，这是新时代我国民族团结进步事业的生动写照，也是新时代民族工作创新推进的鲜明特征。
