Mao Zedong once said, "you can eat for a day, sleep for a day, and read for a day." This sentence fully affirms the importance of reading, so I think it is beneficial to open a book.
Books can make people progress. At all times and in all over the world, books have guided many successful people to go to the other side of glory and success. These people forget to eat and sleep for reading. They regard books as the most important thing. It can be seen that books can not only make us progress, but also make us have a successful life. I always ask myself to read a good article every day. For a long time, my composition level has improved a lot. I am always handy when I write a composition, and my writing is like a God. These are books that make me progress.
Books can help us learn the truth of being human. The essence of Chinese culture, such as many classic books - "the view of disciple", "the Three Character Classic", "the filial piety classic", makes me learn to be a patriotic, law-abiding, honest and courteous person. This makes society more harmonious and the world better!
Since reading is so good, why don't we do it?
