LUANDA, Aug. 4 -- Defending 1o de Agosto defeated Interclube 2-0 in the 28th round of the Angolan First Division Football Championship, also dubbed as Girabola 2018.

With goals from strikers Geraldo in the 17th minute and Bua in the 73rd minute, 1o de Agosto regained the leadership of Girabola 2018 with 49 points.

Only two rounds to go, the national champion is dependent on themselves to conquer the third consecutive title.

This should have been a "must win game" for Interclube which has been a contender for the title.

Now with 42 points in the third position, Interclube is thus without chance to get to the top of the Championship.
