看美剧学口语：“你真不会配不上她！”

Notes: Katie不懂事的儿子口出狂言，说他老妈只是个家庭主妇，什么都不懂。这下可算是激怒了Katie，她立刻停车展现了一个负责任的妈妈该有的气势和态度。短语“pull over”的含义是“靠边停车，把……开到路边”。“for your information”表示“为你提供讯息，供你参考”，用在这个语境中可以理解为“我告诉你”。“pretty”这个单词在这里可不是形容词“漂亮的”，而是充当副词“很，相当”。“crappy”用在口语中表示贬义的“不好，差劲”。例如：

He pulled over and went to the convenience store.

他靠边停车，去了便利店。

Notes: 为了给自己逃避慈善，总是财迷的儿子长点记性，Katie选择让他在路边义务劳动，捡垃圾。“wind up”在这里的意义是“结束”，这个短语如果后面要接名词性的宾语，通常会加上“with”,即“wind up with”.例如：

She is persuading his son to be a nice man in case he would wind up in prison.

他劝儿子做个好人，以免落个身陷囹圄的下场。

Living with my friends who love sports, I wind up with similar exercise habits.

3. Oliver, I don’t care what anyone else says, she’s not out of your league.

Notes：“League”作为名词表示“联盟，社团”。“out of your league”字面理解是“不和你在一个社团里”，引申为“自不量力，配不上”。同样的意义，换个角度，我们也可以说“out of my league”，此外，这个短语还可表示“做不到某事，做某事很困难”。例如：

Don’t be silly. She’s out of your league.

别傻了！你可配不上她。

Learning languages is easy but maths is out of my league.

学语言对我来说很简单，但数学可就不行了。

4.Steal her flags and knock her out of the race.

偷走她的旗子，让她出局。

Notes：“knock somebody out of something”在这里的意思是“让某人出局，淘汰某人”。例如：

I will knock you out of the running no matter what it takes.

我会不惜一切代价让你出局。

5. Why are you so obsessed with Viv?

你为什么这么在意薇芙？

Notes: 短语“be obsessed with”的含义是“痴迷于……”，用在这里是因为Katie为了女儿总是和Viv较劲。例如：

My daughter is obsessed with reading these days.

我女儿这些天着了迷似的阅读。

Please do not be obsessed with that guy. He’s such a mean person.
