One is a doctor, the other is a teacher. 这位老人有两个儿子，一个是医生，另一个是老师。 The others表示所有人或物，相当于“the other+复数名词。 eg: The girl is more beautiful than the others。 这个女孩比其他女孩都漂亮。 another 指的是三个或者三个以上的人或同类中的另一个，只能和单数名词连用。 eg: This dress is too small，please give me another one. 这条裙子太小了，请给我另一条。 This book is not interesting，please show me another。 这本书没趣，请给我看一下另一本。 2.
