　　小孩子为什么这么喜欢听老师的表扬呢？因为老师表扬他们的时候给他们吃了“自我华夫饼”，不过这种华夫饼也不能吃太多，吃多了就会变成人人讨厌的自大狂。

　　Ego waffles are “waffles made out of ego” which are usually consumed by narcissistic people in order to sustain a delicate ego. Everybody enjoy ego waffles.

　　“自我华夫饼”是“用自我做成的华夫饼”，自恋的人为了保护自己脆弱的自尊心而常常“食用”这种“饼”。人人都喜欢吃“自我华夫饼”。

　　Compliments are the most common ego waffles that people eat. An ego waffle from time to time can boost one’s confidence, but too much ego waffles will turn you into an egomania.

　　赞美是最普遍的“自我华夫饼”。偶尔吃一块“自我华夫饼”可以增强一个人的自信心，但是吃得太多就会变成自大狂。

　　That woman is so full of herself, I'll bet she ate ego waffles for breakfast.
