过节“转礼” regifting

　　中秋国庆在即，很多人估计开始筹备过节礼品了。花不少钱购买的月饼礼盒不知道要转多少个人家才能最终安顿下来。最近看好多报道，都说西方有些国家现在都兴送二手礼物，既省钱，又环保，受到很多人追捧。其实，这个做法在咱们国家应该早就有了吧。

　　Call it tacky, rude, maybe even thoughtless, but "regifting" is about as ritualistic as giving away that lump of jellied fruit every year. A two-year study has found that most Americans have done it. According to the study, 54 percent of Americans rewrap, rebox and resend unwanted presents. Now, you know regifting means to give as a gift something that one received as a gift.

　　对于“礼物转送”行为，说它俗气也好，无礼也罢，甚至说不花心思也行，但这种行为已经像每年都要把那一堆果子酱送出去一样成了人们的惯例。一项为期两年的研究发现，大多数美国人都会将收到的礼物转送出去。这项研究显示，有54％的美国人会将收到的但自己并不需要的礼物重新包装、放在礼物盒里，然后转送出去。现在，你知道了吧，regifting就是指将收到的礼物再当作礼物重新送出去。
