Dennis Keith Rodman (born May 13, 1961) is a retired American Hall of Fame professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was nicknamed "Dennis the Menace" and "The Worm" and was known for his fierce defensive and rebounding abilities.

Rodman experienced an unhappy childhood and was shy and introverted in his early years. After aborting a suicide attempt in 1993, he reinvented himself as the prototypical "bad boy" and became notorious for numerous controversial antics. He dyed his hair in artificial colors, presented himself with many piercings and tattoos and regularly disrupted games by clashing with opposing players and officials. He famously wore a wedding dress to promote his autobiography. Rodman pursued a high-profile affair with singer Madonna and was briefly married to actress Carmen Electra.

丹尼斯·罗德曼（英语：Dennis Rodman，1961年5月13日－）出生于美国新泽西州的Trenton，是前美国NBA著名篮球运动员，以擅长抓篮板球及出色的防守著称，有“篮板王的美誉。在球场内外，罗德曼的各种具争议性的举动同样令他备受瞩目。他的位置是大前锋，虽然只有203厘米的身高，但他拥有强大的意志力，防守的预判能力和侵略性，造就了罗德曼出色的篮板能力。

丹尼斯·罗德曼出生于新泽西特伦顿的一个贫民家庭，自小父亲就离家出走，家中还有母亲和两个妹妹，这也是造成他后来怪异的性格的主要原因。罗德曼高中毕业的时候，整天无所事事，当时他的身高只有1米75，可两年后便暴长到2米03。于是凭着高大的身材，罗德曼进了达拉斯机场当保安。后来因手脚不干净而送入了拘留所。母亲恨铁不成钢，劝他上学念书，罗德曼自己也不愿意如此厮混一生，于是到俄克拉荷马上大学。

1983年开始，罗德曼进入俄克拉荷马东南大学打球，每场得分在24分以上，篮板球15个，1985/1986赛季代表奥克拉荷马东南大学参加了34场NAIA比赛，并且有平均24.7分、17.8个篮板的惊人表现。1986年，大学毕业的罗德曼参加了NBA选秀大会，底特律活塞队看中了他抢篮板的天才，在第二轮选他入队，罗德曼传奇般的NBA生涯从此开始。
