　　1. in advance of 在前面。如：He is far in advance of his class. 他在班上遥遥领先。

　　2. in case of 一旦，以防，如果。如：In case of fire, call 119.倘若有火灾，就打119电话。

　　The wall was built along the river in case of floods. 为了防洪，沿河筑了堤。
