小鸟死了

一天，我和妈妈去买菜，中途，妈妈忽然大喊起来：“地上竟然有一只小鸟。”我低头一看，地上果然躺着一只小鸟。我看到它仰躺在地上，翅膀用力挣扎着。我急忙蹲下身子，把它拿起来，但是，在准备拿起来的一瞬间，它的翅膀竟然不动了。我小心翼翼地把小鸟捧起来，仔细观察着小鸟。我碰了一下它，它的翅膀竟然一动不动。妈妈说：“摸一下它的心脏有没有在跳。”我说：“好的。”于是摸了一下它的心脏。“天啊！”我惊讶地大声说，“它的心脏竟然不跳了。”我仔细看着小鸟，小鸟的身子只有小耳朵那么大，羽毛是金黄色的，原来是一只金丝雀。它真漂亮！可是它死了。妈妈说：这么小就死了，真可怜！它是怎么死的呢？是不是人类开枪打死的呀？检查一下它身上有没有伤口。”我于是仔细地检查了小鸟的身体，说：“妈妈，小鸟没有伤口。”妈妈说：“可能它太小，飞得太累了，找不到它妈妈，从天上掉下来摔死的吧。”我说：“我觉得应该是它飞得太低，撞到一些东西掉下来的。”妈妈说：“有道理！”

I said, "I think it should be because it flew too low and hit something and fell down." Mother said, "it makes sense!"

我和妈妈继续去买菜。我手里一直捧着小鸟，不时用手抚摸着它漂亮的小羽毛。我对妈妈说：“我们回家把它埋了吧。”妈妈点点头。
