Robert O'Brien, national security advisor for US President Donald Trump, has tested positive for the coronavirus, the White House announced on Monday.

白宫7月27日证实，美国总统特朗普的国家安全顾问罗伯特·奥布莱恩新冠病毒检测呈阳性。

"He has mild symptoms and has been self-isolating and working from a secure location off-site. There is no risk of exposure to the president or the vice-president. The work of the National Security Council continues uninterrupted," the White House said in a statement.

白宫在一份声明中表示：“他出现了一些轻度症状，一直在自我隔离，并在安全地点远程工作。总统与副总统没有染病风险，国家安全委员会的工作仍在继续。”

Trump told reporters at the White House that he had not had any recent contact with the 54-year-old O'Brien. O'Brien is the most senior White House official known to get the virus, and the closest to Trump.

特朗普在白宫向记者表示，他近期与奥布莱恩没有接触。54岁的奥布莱恩是已知感染新冠病毒的白宫最高级别官员，也是最接近特朗普的人。
