People often say, "it's good to open a book." But some people say, "opening a book is not necessarily beneficial, but it is harmful to read those unhealthy books." Today, our class has a heated debate on this topic.
Mr. yjq, a friend of the opposition, first said, "I don't think it's beneficial to open the book. Reading some unhealthy books or books that affect our study is harmful to us. Reading comic books, for example, will not help our study much. Reading them will only waste our precious time." Her voice didn't fall. FW, a friend of the opposition, added: "I don't think it's beneficial to open the book. There are some ghost stories and other books that will have some adverse effects on us."
Right I immediately stood up and retorted: "I think it's good to open a book. Books can not only enrich our extracurricular knowledge, but also improve our reading ability and writing level. Isn't it good? Just now, you said that ghost stories and other books will have some adverse effects on us. Aren't there enough good books around us? We usually want to see which book at home, and then go to the bookstore to look for that book. Even if we see the ghost story, it's still good for us. I remember when I was a child, I was very curious. Once, I went to the bookstore to read books and turned to ghost stories. I read them with great interest regardless of whether they were in July or 21. After reading them for a while, I felt very scared, so I stopped reading them. If you don't read a book, how can you know whether it's good or not? It's just because I read it that I know which books are good, which are helpful for us to learn, which are not good for us. Later, I won't read it. Moreover, a good book can enrich our extracurricular knowledge, learn more information to enrich our brain. Therefore, I think it's beneficial to open a book. " My friend qxy also stood up and said, "I also think it's good to open a book. Good books can help us a lot. You say comic books will affect our study. Can't primary school students read some books they like in their spare time? Is comic book harmful to us? I think that some comic books will develop our intelligence, expand our thinking and imagination, blindly hold the knowledge in the textbook, and only make our knowledge poor. " As soon as the voice fell, there was a warm applause in the classroom. Many students shouted: "it's good to open a book, it's good to open a Book..." The debate reached a climax
The time of a class soon passed. Although there was a verbal battle between the positive and the negative sides, and they didn't come up with a result, I still think it's helpful to open the book. Because books are our friends. Apart from what we can learn from school, we can only learn more knowledge from extracurricular books. Whether opening a book is beneficial depends on whether you can distinguish right from wrong. If you can distinguish right from wrong and choose a good book suitable for our age, opening a book is certainly beneficial. I really hope that the class can find more topics like this to debate in the class later, because the debate can not only exercise our language expression ability, but also increase the friendship between our classmates, so I like such a debate.
