I agree that people with bad taste should be allowed to put pineapple on their pizzas. It should never be called “Hawaiian Pizza” though.

Pineapple is a New World fruit that was unknown in the Hawaiian Islands until the latter part of the 19th Century. They were brought to Hawaii for cultivation because there was a lot of cheap labor here.

No. While I agree with other people here to no longer call it Hawaiian, I feel that people should be able to make their pizza however they want. Have you actually tried pineapple on pizza before? I’m fine with people saying that they do not like certain foods, I just feel that people should try the food in question before judging it. I personally find that the sweet taste of the pineapple combined with the savory tomato sauce and the crunchy crust creates a wonderful experience. Just my personal opinion, everyone has their own tastes.

I have nothing against pineapple. I like it in desserts or fruit bowls. I don’t like it on my pizza because it is sweet. When I eat pizza, I want spiciness, and pineapple cancels out that spiciness.

Not really. I believe Pineapple as a topping is quite a savvy option. Although not everyone has a liking for pineapple, and in most cases it’s an acquired taste. However, it surely is a great option as a pizza topping. Pineapples add a fantastic flavor to the pizza and surely tickle the taste buds. Even the aroma of mildly heated pineapple is quite overwhelming.
