美国英勇斗牛犬 火场救失聪男孩

A pitbull has been hailed a hero after he licked the face of a sleeping deaf boy to tell him the house was on fire.

一只斗牛犬将一名熟睡的失聪男孩舔醒，提醒他房屋失火，它的这一英勇之举让人们称赞不已。

Nick Lamb, 13, was home alone when the fire broke out at the family home in Indianapolis at about 1pm on Wednesday – but he was not wearing his hearing aids.

13岁的尼克·兰姆的家住在印第安纳波利斯，周三下午一点家中突然发生火灾，而此刻只有他一人在家熟睡，而且他还没有带上助听器。

Pitbull Ace went to Nick’s room and licked his face constantly until the boy woke up and realised the house was filled with smoke.

斗牛犬艾斯冲进尼克的房间，一直舔他的脸，直到尼克醒过来，意识到房子里全都是烟。

‘My dog licked my face and woke me up. I was like, “Stop it! What? You want to be fed?”,’ the teenager told Sky News.

尼克告诉英国天空资讯台，“艾斯舔我的脸把我弄醒。我当时对它说‘快停下！怎么了？你想吃东西吗？’”

‘I thought he wanted to be fed or go outside.’

“我以为它想吃东西或者出去。”

‘I couldn’t hear anything because I had my cochlear implants off.’

When Nick realised the house was on fire, he covered his mouth and nose with a T-shirt and quickly left the house with the dog at his side.

His mother, Lindsay Bernard, said Ace probably saved her son’s life.

他的母亲林赛·伯纳德说，艾斯可能救了她的儿子一命。

‘It’s amazing, because if he wouldn’t have been there, he probably wouldn’t have even woke up,’ she said.

她说，“这真是太好了，如果艾斯不在，尼克大概醒都不会醒。”

Nick told firefighters it was the first summer he was old enough to be at home on his own.

The family cat, Pixie, who was also home at the time of the fire, was treated for smoke inhalation and is expected to recover.

尼克家还有一只猫皮格茜，发生火灾时它也在屋里，它吸入了烟尘，估计不久之后就可以康复。
