外媒看中国：文章婚外情事件创微博记录

Chinese star Wen Zhang broke social media records on Monday when he wrote an apology to his wife for an extramarital affair on China's version of Twitter Weibo.

中国明星文章打破了社交媒体记录。周一他在新浪微博上就自己出轨事件向妻子道歉，微博一经发出网友疯狂转发。

The 29-year-old confessed that he cheated with Yao Di, his co-star on hit television series Naked Marriage after photographs surfaced of the two sharing an intimate moment.

29岁的文章在自己与女演员姚笛亲昵照片曝光后，承认了两人之间的婚外情，他们曾一同出演电视剧《裸婚时代》。

The actor has been married to Ma Yili for six years and is expecting his second child with her.

文章和马伊琍结婚已经六年了，他们第二个孩子今年刚刚出生。

Zhang's confession, translated by The Hollywood Reporter, states: 'I have brought this upon myself. A mistake is a mistake. This has nothing to do with anyone else.Today, I am willing to accept all the consequences.'

He added: 'I've let down Ma Yili and our children. My mistake does not deserve to be forgiven, and it will be difficult for me to make amends for all the harm I've caused. But I want to do it. I have to do it. This is what I'll do for the rest of my life.'

The missive broke all previous social media records in China as the post received 2.5 million comments and 1 million retweets within 10 hours.

Zhang's wife, soon responded on the Weibo, writing 'Cherish what you have at the moment'. Yili responded on Monday with a missive that instantly became an internet meme.

The 37-year-old's missive became it's own internet meme and the second all-time most shared post in China with over 600,000 reshares.

It went on to garner 1.6 million upvotes and nearly a million comments. She also stated: 'Being in love is easy, being married is not.'
