The royal baby countdown is on. As the world not-so-patiently awaits the pitter-patter of tiny royal baby feet, we speculate on what life will be like for the little one.

1. Royal title: We may not know the sex of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s baby, but we do know that it will officially be called a prince or princess of Cambridge, a Kensington Palace spokeswoman said Tuesday. It’s believed to be the first of its kind in royal history.

3. Baby name: If it’s a girl, there’s strong speculation that her name will include Diana to honor William’s late mother. If it’s a boy, Europe’s largest betting firm says odds favor the names John, Francis, Charles, Philip and George.

4. Child care: Sources tell that Kate wants to be a full-time mom. She plans to break from the royal tradition of hiring a full-time nanny and be a hands-on parent, much like Diana was. Still, she may have a maternity nurse for the first few weeks or stay with her mother at the family’s $7 million Bucklebury manor.

It’s also likely that the royal baby will benefit from an elite private education.
