新华社澄清：“习主席微服私访打的”为虚假资讯

Chinese President Xi Jinping decided to take a taxi ride on the evening of March 1 in downtown Beijing and was recognized by the taxi driver whilst chatting together in the car, the Hong Kong-based Ta Kung Pao reports.

香港《大公报》报道，中国国家主席习近平3月1日晚上在北京市中心打车，乘车路上与司机的闲聊中被“的哥”认出来。

The taxi-driver, 46-year-old Guo Lixin, is from Pinggu district in suburban Beijing. Guo, who has been driving his taxi for about 8 years, says he vividly remembers the ride with President Xi.

家住北京远郊平谷区的“的哥”郭立新，今年46岁，开出租车已经有8年了。他说自己仍清楚地记得一个多月前搭载习近平总书记的经历。

Guo recalls that it was already dark at about 7:00pm. He had just parked his car near the Gulou (drum tower) west street in Xicheng district for a little while when two male passengers got into his car; one sitting on the passenger seat and the other on the rear seat.

郭立新回忆说，事情大约发生在晚上7点钟。他刚把车停在西城区鼓楼西大街没多会儿，这时上来两位男乘客。一个坐在副驾驶，一个坐在后排。

Guo inquired about their destination and was told to go to the Diaoyutai Hotel, which is part of the Diaoyutai State Guest House. The passengers also told Guo to choose the most suitable route as they were unfamiliar with the roads of Beijing.

郭立新询问后得知乘客要去钓鱼台大酒店，那是钓鱼台国宾馆的一部分。乘客还说因为对路不熟，让郭选条最合适的路线走。

Taxi driver Guo said he did not pay much attention to the passengers at first, but as with all Beijing taxi drivers, Guo loves to chat so he began to make conversation focusing on the smoggy weather in Beijing over the past few months. At that point, the man in the passenger seat began to talk seriously about the topic.

郭师傅说，一开始对乘客并没有太多留意，但郭与很多同行一样喜欢聊天，于是他开始讲起北京已经持续了几个月的雾霾天气。就在这时，坐在副驾驶的那位乘客开始认真地讨论起这个话题。

According to Guo, his passenger stated that while it is easy to cause pollution, it is becoming increasingly harder to treat and rectify the damage that it causes. However, Guo's passenger continued, we must recognize that the average life expectancy of Chinese people is now much higher than before and we should also notice the positive side to social progress.

根据郭师傅的说法，乘客表示污染容易治理难。但同时他又说，我们要看到另一面，现在中国人的人均寿命比以往大大提高了，要看到社会进步的一面。

Guo's esteemed passenger also said that the government is determined to deal with the issue of pollution and improve people's health, but noted that it takes time to implement all the pollution-control measures and acknowledged that the process has also been prolonged and painful even in the most advanced economies of the world.

这位乘客还说，政府下决心要治理环境污染和提高老百姓健康水平，但这些措施不可能在短期内就能完全发挥作用，总要有一个过程，资本主义发达国家也经历过这一痛苦而漫长的过程。

At that point, Guo began to notice that the passenger's remarks were unusual for a general member of the public. As a result, Guo turned his head to glance at his passenger but did not recognize him right away. It was not until the taxi stopped at a traffic light that Guo Lixin took a closer look and realized that his passenger looked incredibly similar to President Xi Jinping.

这时候，郭师傅开始觉得这人说话跟普通老百姓不太一样，于是他侧过脸略微瞅了一眼，但是没认出来。直到车子停在一处红灯后他才近距离看了一眼，觉得乘客看起来与习近平总书记惊人地相像。

Guo asked his passenger, "When you've taken taxis in the past, has anyone ever told you that you look similar to someone? Has anyone ever said that you look like General Secretary Xi?" At this, Guo's passenger chuckled and said, "You are the first one to ever recognize me."

郭师傅问乘客，“您出来坐车就没人说您长得像某个人？没人说您像习总书记？”听到这个乘客乐了，说道，“你是头一个把我认出来的司机”。

Guo said he was taken back by the answer and was very excited. Guo recalled that President Xi then asked him about his income level and other topics that people are generally concerned about.

郭师傅说听到这句话他当时就懵了，非常激动。他回想说，习总书记接着问了他关于收入水平和老百姓关心的其他一些话题。

The 8.2 kilometer taxi ride took 26 minutes during Beijing's rush hour. The taxi fare came to 27 yuan in total but Guo was given 30 yuan and was told to keep the change.

在北京交通的高峰时段，到钓鱼台大酒店一共走了8.2公里、26分钟，车票一共27块钱。乘客给郭师傅递过来30块钱，没让找零。
