中移动将销售诺基亚新款智能手机

Nokia has agreed to sell its latest flagship smartphone through China Mobile, the world’s largest telecom operator and the only one in China without a contract to sell Apple’s iPhone.

诺基亚(Nokia)已经同意通过中国移动(China Mobile)销售其最新款旗舰智能手机。中国移动是全球最大的电信运营商，也是中国唯一一家没有签订苹果(Apple)iPhone销售合同的运营商。

The Finnish handset maker has seen a rapid fall in sales of its devices in China, given the introduction of cheap Chinese handsets as well as the allure of more expensive Western rivals such as the iPhone.

Nokia has yet to make much of an impression in China with its latest smartphones using the Microsoft Windows platform, which are seen by analysts as crucial to its future.

The group yesterday agreed to launch a version of its flagship Lumia smartphone that has been designed for the world’s largest mobile market.

China Mobile is the biggest operator in the world with more than 700m subscribers. It will sell a version of the Lumia 920T, a device that uses Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform. The phone will be customised for China’s TD-SCDMA network, which allows 3G phone services.
