腾讯跻身全球十大上市公司 市值突破2790亿美元

China's tech giant Tencent Holdings Ltd has become the world's 10th biggest publicly traded company by market value.

我国科技巨头腾讯控股有限公司日前成为全球第十大市值的上市公司。

Founded in 1998, Tencent is the only Chinese company in the list of 10 biggest companies by market value, while American counterparts dominate the rest of the list.

创建于1998年的腾讯是跻身全球前十大市值公司的唯一一家中国公司，而美国公司则占据了十强榜的剩余席位。

The Chinese internet titan best known for its WeChat messaging service and gaming apps, gained 1.6 percent last Wednesday at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, vaulting its capitalization to $279 billion, just a shade above that of US lender Wells Fargo Inc.
