影片简介：

中年男子弗兰克·沃克（乔治·克鲁尼 饰）和身边的女孩凯茜·牛顿（布丽特·罗伯森 饰）大吐苦水，他慨叹现代社会充斥了战争、饥饿、灾难以及种种不公，他回忆起自己童年时代的一段经历。当年小小的弗兰克（托马斯•罗宾逊 饰）带着自己的得意发明来到某主题公园，结果却碰了一鼻子灰。而美丽的少女雅典娜（拉菲•卡西迪 饰）偷偷伸出援手，让他见识了令人咋舌的未来世界。与之相对，凯茜则是对未来充满幻想的阳光女孩，她渴望有朝一日遨游太空。心怀梦想的她甚至私闯NASA，为此惹了不小的麻烦，不过却由此得到一枚神秘的徽章从而结识了弗兰克。这一老一少的命运相逢，让充满幻想的未来世界不再遥远……
