体坛英语资讯：Adriano intends on pacifying Flamengo

Flamengo’s star striker, Adriano, announced on Friday that he intends on talking to his teammates in order to restore peace. The athlete is referring to the shoving episode between goalkeeper Bruno and midfielder Petkovic.

During halftime of the team’s match in Chile against Universidad Catolica on April 14, Bruno pushed his teammate claiming that he was playing with desire. Subsequently, the Serbian midfielder was substituted at the beginning of the second half. Adriano did not join his teammates on the trip in order to stay behind in Rio de Janeiro to continue his workout and rehabilitation on his lower back pains.

“I am going to talk to the group bring back our harmony. Things happen and it is important that we learn from them. When we fall, we have to learn to get back up. If there was an argument it was because they wanted to win. It is normal for things like that to happen in soccer. I intend on finding out exactly what happened and make sure that they pick their heads back up and get ready for our important match on Sunday,” described Adriano.

Adriano will return to action with Flamengo after a two-week absence due to lower back pains. As one of the leaders of the team, he wants to get the team back in line for the finals of the second half of the Rio de Janeiro state championship on Sunday, April 18, against Vasco da Gama.
