　　慰问信是对某些单位或个人的突出工作，或遭到什么不幸表示慰问、问候、致意而写的一种书信。

　　注意：慰问信应写得真切，注意措辞，对轻病或者小损失，慰问信应写得轻松一些。相反，对严重病情或重大损失，信就应该写得深沉一些。

　　范文解析：

　　Directions: Xu Hong, one of your friends, failed in the last CET-6 and is upset. Write a letter to him to

　　1) espress your pity, point out the reason for his failure,

　　2) encourage him, and suggest a better way to prepare the exam.

　　You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET

　　2、Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use Wang Hua instead. Do not write the address.

　　Dear Xu Hong,

　　I am so sorry to learn of the unfortunate news that you failed in the last CET-6. I hope you wont feel too discouraged by the result. You know you could have done better had you not been sick during the test day, and you know there will always be another chance to take CET-6. You are just a sophomore now, and you still have plenty of time to prepare for it.

　　For now, just forget about the test and cheer up. You have more important things to do, such as term paper and final examinations.
