　　In the new century, with the rapid growth of Internet and network news, network public opinion is exerting a more and more significant influence on the formation of public opinions. For instance, many a time we have witnessed the whole thing come to be obvious because of network public opinion. In response to its growing influence, some people are in favor of network public opinion. They maintain that it represents the genuine ideas of the public, since people are entitled to express themselves freely on the Internet. On the contrary, others lay emphasis on the negative aspects. They argue it is the free expression that leads to quite a number of irresponsible remarks and even rude personal attacks on networks.

　　As for me, though some impoliteness does exist, on the whole network public opinion makes contribution to our society.In this way, people s true feelings can be heard by the top officials without distortion. Therefore, it is of little doubt that network public opinion plays a positive role in our society.
