　　1. be at war with与...交战;declare war on对...宣战

　　2. a wast land and rich resources地大物博

　　3. watchful注意的，警惕的---be watchful of the times注意时势

　　4. in a way在某种程度上，从某一点上看---He is handsome in a way.

　　Deviate是不及物动词(from)---deviate from the right path背离正道;deviate from ones purpose背离本意

　　weakness可以指缺点 Smoking is his weakness/weak point.

　　Be worth doing=be worthy of /to be done

　　The book is worth reading=The book is worthy /to be read.
