　　1. Although there are some men who like children and may have had considerable experience with them, others do not particularly care for children and spend little time with them.

　　【译文】尽管一些男人喜欢孩子且有大量与孩子相处的经验，但是很多父亲不会对孩子表示特别的关心，也很少与孩子相处。

　　【析句】本句的主干由主句和although引导的让步状语从句构成，主句others do not particlularly care for...and spend..., although引导的让步状语从句中，主句there are some men,who lie children and may have...为定语从句修饰some men。

　　2. It is argued by some writers that the transition to the father s role, although difficult, is not nearly as great as the transition the wife must make to the mother s role.

　　【译文】一些作家认为，尽管男人成为父亲这一角色的转变十分困难，却比不上妻子变成母亲的角色转变大。

　　【析句】主句It is argued by...that,it作形式主语，真正的主语是that引导的主句从句，也是本复合句的重点。主句从句中，主句为the transition to the father s role is not as great as the transition...,运用了as...as..的否定形式。从句有两个，第一个是although difficult是省略了it is的让步状语从句，第二个是the wife must make to the mother s role作定语从句修饰transition.

　　3. However, even though we mentioned the fact that growing numbers of women are working outside the home, the father is still thought by many as the breadwinner in the household.

　　【译文】然而，即使事实上在外工作的女性人数与日俱增，但多数人仍认为父亲才是真正养家糊口的人。

　　【析句】例句3与例句1的结构相似，都是由主句和even though引导的让步状语从句构成。主句the father is thought by...as...,even though从句中，主句为we mentioned the fact, that引导同位语从句growing numbers of women are working...。
