　　★　We are going to plant trees in the park.

　　Plant 表示种植，植物。例如：

　　We should plant a lot of trees.

　　我们应该种植大量的树。

　　These plants need some more water.

　　这些树需要更多的水。

　　★　The ground must be just right neither toowet nor too try.

　　The ground must be just right neither too wet nor too try.地方要选好即不太潮湿也不太干燥。

　　Neither nor 表示即不也不，这个词组连接两个并列的成份，并列成份可以是两个主语，谓语，宾语等其它成份。它的反义词组是both and 例如：

　　Neither you nor I can carry this heavy box.

　　你我都有搬不动这只重箱子。

　　He is neither reading nor writing.

　　他现在是既没有读也没有写。

　　Both these books and those clothes are mine.

　　这些书和那些衣服都是我的。

　　★　It shows what has happened to the forests of the USA in the last 350years.

　　It shows what has happened to the forests of the USA in the last 350years.这副图展示出过去三百五十年来美国的森林所发生的情况。

　　To 后面接人或者物，表示发生在某人或者某物的身上。注意要用发生的事情作主语，不能用被动语态。例如：

　　Whats happening here?

　　这儿怎么了？

　　Whats happened to you?

　　你怎么啦？

　　Dont worry,nothingll happen.

　　不要担心，不会发生什么事的。

　　★　In 1850,about a third was covered by forests.

　　In 1850,about a third was covered by forests.1850年，大约有三分子一（的美国土地）被森林所覆盖。

　　A third 是一个分数形式，表示三分子一，分数的表达方法是分子用基数词，分母用序数词，先写分子，后写分母，分子是复数形式，分母也用复数形式。例如：

　　I have finished one fourth of my work now.

　　我现在已经完成了我的四分子一的工作。

　　Three fourths of the teachers in this school are women teachers.

　　这个学校的四分子三的教师是女老师。

　　★　The Great Green Wall will stop the wind fromblowing the earth away.

　　The Great Green Wall will stop the wind from blowing the earth away.绿色长城将阻挡大风刮走土地。

　　Stop from doing表示阻止不做某事，from 可以省略。例如：

　　We must stop him from going to swim in the river.

　　我们必须阻止他不要在河里游泳。

　　I cant stop him from smoking.

　　我挡不住他抽烟。

　　★　The more,the better.

　　The more,the better.越多越好。

　　本句型的形式是The +形容词或副词的比较级+其它成份，the +形容词或副词的比较级+其它成份。表示越就越。，（有关本句型的讲解请参考本软件的句型结构）。例如：

　　The faster,the better.

　　越快越好。

　　The harder you study,the better you study.

　　你越学习努力，你就越学习好。
