　　【Behind the house there is a river.】

　　Behind the house there is a tree.房子的后面有一棵树。句中的地点状语移到了句首，起强调作用。例如：

　　Behind the door there is a broom.

　　门的后面有一把扫帚。

　　In the classroom there is no students now.

　　现在教室时里没有学生。

　　【Is there a cat in the tree?】

　　Is there a cat in the tree?树上有猫吗?

　　这是there is .的疑问句型。句是的is 提前，构成疑问句。例如：

　　Is there a book on the desk?

　　桌子上有书吗？

　　Are there any trees in the picture?

　　照片上有树吗？

　　【There is 的句型总结：】

　　肯定形式There is（are）.There is后面跟单数名词，There are后面跟复数名词，例如：

　　There is book on the desk.

　　桌子上有一本书。

　　There are some boxes in the room.

　　房间里有一些箱子。

　　否定形式There is （are）not .否定形式是在系动词后面加not.表示没有。例如：

　　There is not a egg in it.

　　里边没有鸡蛋。

　　There are not many trees before our classroom.

　　我们教室前面没有许多树。

　　【疑问形式及回答】

　　Is （are）there ?Yes,there is（are）.疑问形式是把系动词is（are）提到there的前面，句尾加问号。回答时，肯定为Yes,there is（are）；否定为No,there is（are）not（any）。例如：

　　Is there a bike behind the house?Yes,there is.

　　房子的后面有一辆自行车吗？是的，有一辆。

　　Are there any pens in the pencil-box.No,there are not.

　　【特殊疑问句】

　　特殊疑问句是对不知道某处有什么物进行的提问，用疑问词如what,how many 等提问。回答时要具体回答有何物。例如：

　　What is there in the picture.There is a house.

　　照片上有什么？有一间房子。

　　How many books are there in your bag?There are five books.

　　你的书包里有多少本书？有五本书。

　　【名词的单复数：】

　　英语的名词可分为可数名词和不可数名词，凡不能用个数去数的东西可以认为是不可数的名词，比如我们不能说一个牛奶，两个水，牛奶和水就是不可数名词。可数名词可分为单数名词和复数名词。单数名词就是词典上出现的名词，复数名词则要根据单数名词进行一些改变。其构成形式如下：

　　1.一般在词尾加-es.例如：

　　book books

　　desk desks

　　pen pens

　　2.以s,sh,ch,x 等结尾的名词加-es.例如：

　　bus buses;

　　class classes;

　　watch watches;

　　box boxes

　　3.以辅音字母+y结尾的词，变y为i,再加-es.例如：

　　baby babies

　　family families

　　4.以f或fe结尾的名词去f或fe，加ves构成。例如：

　　knife knives

　　英语中有一些名词的复数形式是不规则的，需一一记忆。例如：

　　man men

　　woman women

　　child children.
