状语从句知识点总结： unless与if…not…同与异

1. 当所述条件会结束已经存在的想法或状态时，用或都可以。如：

We shall go unless it rains tomorrow. =We shall go if it doesnt rain tomorrow. 如果明天不下雨，我们就去。(下雨会结束去这一已经存在的趋向)

You will be late unless you start at once. =Youll be late if you dont start at once. 如果不马上走你就要迟到。(马上走会结束迟到这一趋向)

2. 当所述条件会导致一种新的想法或情况时，通常用if，而不用unless。如：

Ill be angry if Im not invited to the party. 如果不邀请我参加聚会我会生气的。(不邀请就会导致生气这种新情况)

3. 表示虚拟条件只能用ifnot，不用unless。如：

He would have died if the doctor had not saved him in time. 要是医生不及时救了他，他早就死了。

4. 若需定再与否定连用，用unless，不用ifnot。如

译：如果没有别的人去，我就去。

正：I will go unless no one else does.

误：I will go if no one else doesnt.
