　　you cannot imagine life without the wireless or the television. an average english family has at least two radios and one tv. both transmission means are popular in the uk.

　　lets just look at the percentage of the english population of the radio and tv from october to december, 1992. in the morning, 10% to 20% of the population listens to the wireless. very few watch tv.this is understandable because most people have to work and the radio is easier to carry in working hours than tv. and the radio always has news of sports and economy, etc.

　　from i pm to midnight, more people watch tv. 50% of the english nation sits in front of tv in early evening hours. they have a lot of channels and programmes to choose from news, reports, music, especially plays .

　　the number of both radio and tv audiences declines after midnight hours till sunrise. but the uk, like big ben, never rests.you can catch some couch potatoes any minute of the day or night.
