　　You are writing your first letter to a pen pal. Introduce yourself and tell her that you will be visiting her country during the summer vacation and suggest meeting her.(日常信)

　　亲爱的Sue：

　　你好吗?我从国际笔友那里获得的你的姓名和地址。很高兴给你写信并成为成为笔友。

　　Dear Sue,

　　How are you? I obtained your name and address from Pen Pal International. I am very glad to write to you and we become pen pals.

　　让我先介绍一下我自己：我目前在上海昂立托雅学院做教师。我1988年毕业于，主修英语文学与语言学，并于1998年获得了语用学硕士学位。我喜欢拉二胡(一种中国乐器)和听音乐。我还对旅行感兴趣。噢，对了，我喜欢泡酒吧。

　　Let me first introduce myself. Im currently working as an English teacher at Shanghai Onlytoya College. I graduated from Shanghai Foreign Languages University in 1988, majoring in English literature and linguistics. I got my Masters degree in pragmatics in 1998. I like playing erhu and listening to pop music. I am also very interested in traveling. Oh, yes, I am a great bar-goer!

　　这个夏天我将去澳大利亚。我要代表我们学院参加7月10-16日在悉尼的一个会议。会后，我计划在澳大利亚观光游览一番，可能有5天多的时间。如果你有时间，我很想与你本人见一面，或许可以一起吃个午饭。

　　This summer, I will be traveling to Australia. I will be attending a conference on behalf of my college in Sydney from July 10 to 16. After the conference, I plan to do some sightseeing in Australia, maybe five more days. If you are free, I would be very happy to meet you in person. Perhaps we could have lunch together.

　　好了，我就写到这里吧。我已经迫不及待地在等你的第一封信了。请告诉我你的情况以及你有什么兴趣。希望我们可以成为好朋友。
