向着第一个“百年目标”迈进

10月26日至29日，党的十八届五中全会将在北京召开，研究关于制定国民经济和社会发展第十三个五年规划的建议。回首“十二五，成果丰硕，是实现第一个“百年目标的重要里程碑。

The Communist Party of China (CPC) will convene the fifth plenary session of its 18th Central Committee to outline the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) for national development on Monday. Under the leadership of the CPC, Chinese people have laid a firm foundation to accomplish thefirst Centenary Goal of comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society by 2020.

10月26日，中国共产党将召开十八届五中全会，制定国民经济发展的十三五规划。在中国共产党的领导下，中国人民已为实现第一个“百年目标，到2020年全面实现小康社会，奠定了坚实的基础。

“百年目标用Centenary Goal 表示，是党的十八大提出的一项奋斗目标。第一个百年目标(the first Centenary Goal)指到中国共产党成立一百年时，全面建成小康社会(build a moderately prosperous society)，第二个百年目标(the second Centenary Goal)是指到新中国成立100年时(2049年)建成富强、民主、文明、和谐的社会主义现代化国家(build a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced and harmonious)。

26日，党的十八届五中全会(the Fifth Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China )在北京召开，研究关于制定国民经济和社会发展第十三个五年规划(13th Five-Year Plan )的建议。回首过去五年，尽管国际社会环境复杂，中国在许多领域都取得重大进展，经济稳定增长(stable economic growth)，社会和谐稳定(harmonious and stable)，改革成果显著，为实现第一个百年计划奠定了坚实的基础(lay a firm foundation)。
