either用于否定句的两点说明

一、用作副词，表示“也”
此时either只用于否定句，不能用于肯定句或疑问句。如：http://yingyu.chazidian.com
We don’t mind it either. 我们也不在乎它。
He didn’t go and she didn’t go either. 他没去，她也没去。
She can’t explain it and I can’t either. 她不能解释，我也不能解释。
He didn’t like the book; I didn’t either. 他不喜欢这本书，我也不喜欢。
Bill didn’t come to the party, and Jack didn’t either. 比尔没来参加宴会，杰克也没来。
二、用作代词，表示“两者中的任意一个”
You may take either of the roads. 两条路你走哪一条都行。
I don’t agree with either of you. 你们两人的意见我都不同意。
Here are two dictionaries；you may take either. 这里有两本词典，你拿哪一本都可以。
但是，这样用的either不能用作否定句的主语，遇此情况应改用neither。如：
两者中哪个对我都合适(from http://yingyu.chazidian.com)。
误：Either one does not suit me.
正：Neither one suits me.
不过，虽然either不能作否定句的主语，但它可作肯定句或疑问句的主语或宾语。如：
Either (of these) would do. 这两个中任一个都可以。
Would you like either of these? 你喜欢二者中的任一个吗?
