Louise Kursmark: A lot of people think that with the advent of Internet job search, you can post a resume, you can search thousands of job posting, you can zap that resume out to employers, you can go to their site and applying online, that all they have to do is go to one of the major job boards and respond to postings and they can sit back fill their forms and wait for the job offers to come in. But, sadly that s not true that, number of people who actually find jobs through the Internet is quite small and I am not going to say any statistics because they change all the time, but it s really quit low. The vast majority of people find jobs through a personal connection. Somebody they know, somebody they have referred to a real life person and not an Internet connection. It s good to use the Internet for your job search, its fine to apply for jobs online, but don t let that be the only thing you do and don t let it be the most important thing you do.
