英语中相互代词用法注意事项

　　一、相互代词的用法

　　表示相互关系的代词叫相互代词，有each other 和one another两组。相互代词只能作动词或介词的宾语，不能作主语，因此以相互代词为宾语的句子不能变为被动句。如：

　　They love each other.他们彼此相爱。

　　We don’t always agree with one another.我们的意见并不总是一致的。

　　二、使用相互代词的5点注意

　　1. 不要受汉语的影响而误认为是副词，将其用作状语。如不能说talk each other，而要说talk to each other。

　　2. 相互代词有所有格形式。

　　We should point out each other’s (=one another’s) shortcomings.我们应指出彼此的缺点。

　　3. 有时汉语中没有“相互，也用相互代词。如：

　　Fifty years has passed, they are still married to each other.五十年过去了，他们仍然保持着婚姻关系。

　　4. 有时可以分开使用，但意义不同。

　　Each wished the other to answer first. 每个人都希望对方先回答。

　　The passengers got on the train one after another. 乘客一个接一个地上了火车。

　　5. 一般来说，each other指两者;one another指多者，但在实际运用过程中，二者可互换，没有什么区别。
