More than 70 percent of office workers encounter "emotional office abuse", three-quarters of which are from the post-80s people, a survey conducted by zhaopin.com says.

智联招聘开展的一项调查显示，超过70%的办公室职员遭遇“职场冷暴力，其中四分之三的人是80后。

在上面的报道中，emotional office abuse指的就是“职场冷暴力，更确切的说法是emotional abuse in the workplace。“冷暴力有时也用cold violence来表示。Abuse在这里是“虐待的意思，看一下例子：Those captives were physically abused.（那些俘虏遭受了肉体上的摧残。）abuse还可以表示“滥用或“辱骂。例如：He abused his power while in office.（他在职时滥用权力。）You are always abusing and offending people.（你总是出言不逊得罪人。）

职场冷暴力常见的表现形式有：excluding or isolating someone from certain benefits or opportunities（将某人孤立于某些特定利益或机遇范畴之外），undermining or deliberately impeding the employee from working（搞破坏或故意阻止员工工作），removing areas of responsibilities without just cause（无故转移工作职责），constantly changing work guidelines（不断变换工作要求），establishing impossible deadlines（规定的工作完成期限极不合理），assigning unreasonable duties（布置不合理的任务），not providing enough work to create a sense of uselessness（不给派活，让员工有被弃用的感觉）等等。
