不会湿的纸团

书上有一种方法可以让纸团不会湿掉，真是太奇妙了。我决定动手做做看。

It's amazing that there's a way in the book to keep the paper from getting wet. I decided to do it.

我先拿来一张纸，一个碗，一个小杯子，再把纸揉成团，用力塞进杯子，直到它不会像调皮的娃娃跳出来，我才安心。然后我把水倒进碗里，接着把杯子向下垂直慢慢放入水中，直到完全淹没在水底，就像一艘小潜水艇停在水底。

I first brought a piece of paper, a bowl, a small cup, and then knead the paper into a ball, and forced it into the cup, until it would not jump out like a naughty doll, I was relieved. Then I pour the water into the bowl, and then put the cup down vertically and slowly into the water until it is completely submerged, like a small submarine resting on the bottom.

过了一会儿，纸团还没湿，又等了几分钟，我想：现在纸团总湿了吧！我把杯子拿出来，杯子里的纸果然湿了。我大叫：“骗人的把戏，骗人的把戏！”爸爸对我说：“肯定是你哪个环节出差错了，仔细看看实验书，再试试。”

After a while, the paper has not been wet, and wait a few minutes, I think: now the paper is always wet! I took out the cup. The paper in the cup was really wet. I shouted, "trick of deceiving, trick of deceiving!" My father said to me, "you must have made a mistake in which part of your business trip. Read the experiment book carefully and try again."

我认真地把书从头到尾看了一遍，再严格按照书上的方法去做。我惊奇地发现纸团并没湿。真的好奇怪耶！我看了书才知道：杯子放入水中的时候，空气就像小卫士一样保护着纸团，不让纸被打湿。

I read the book carefully from the beginning to the end, and then I did it in strict accordance with the methods in the book. I was surprised to find that the paper was not wet. Really curious! I read the book to know: when the cup is put into the water, the air is like a little guard to protect the paper from being wet.
