小乌龟

我七岁生日那天，爸爸给我买了一只小乌龟，我高兴极了。

On my seventh birthday, my father bought me a turtle. I was very happy.

它全身褐色，尖尖的脑袋，背上一块一块的。我上网查了查，嘿！他也刚好七岁，和我一样大。

It's brown all over, with a sharp head and a piece of it on its back. I checked online. Hey! He was just seven years old, just as old as me.

我把它养在鱼缸里，刚开始它好想有点怕生，小眼睛东看看、西瞧瞧，一动也不敢动。不过没多久它便开始游了起来，有时还偷偷地把脑袋探出水面，听见一点小动静，又“嗖”地一下潜入水底。我把龟饲料撒进水里，它吃得可欢了，时间长了，只要我往鱼缸前一站，他便游了上来，眼巴巴的看着我，好像在说：“小主人，有什么好吃的，快给我吧！”

I kept it in a fish tank. At first, it was a little shy of life. He looked east and West with small eyes, but he dared not move. But before long, it began to swim. Sometimes it secretly put its head out of the water, heard a little noise, and "swished" into the water. I sprinkled turtle feed into the water, and it ate happily. It took a long time. As long as I stood in front of the fish tank, he swam up and looked at me as if to say, "little master, what's delicious? Give it to me quickly!"

星期天，我和爸爸到河里捉了许多小鱼小虾，放到鱼缸里一些，乌龟看见了，追了上去，只见它张着嘴，悄悄地靠近一只小虾，脖子猛地一伸，便把小鱼叼住，又一伸脖子，咽了下去。

On Sunday, my father and I caught a lot of small fish and shrimps in the river and put them in the fish tank. The tortoise saw them and ran after them. He only saw them with his mouth open and close to a shrimps quietly. With a sharp stretch of his neck, he grabbed the small fish, stretched his neck again and swallowed it.

乌龟成了我的好朋友，每天早上起床，我第一件事就是去看它。两个月过去了，它长大了一圈。不过，随着天气变凉，它吃得越来越少，活动也少了起来。我以为它病了，赶紧问爸爸，爸爸说冬天就要到了，乌龟要冬眠了。果然进入十二月，乌龟什么也不吃了，趴在水底，很少活动，偶尔动一下，也像在梦游。

Tortoise has become my good friend. Every morning when I get up, my first thing is to see it. Two months later, it grew up a circle. However, as the weather gets cooler, it eats less and has less activities. I thought it was ill. I asked my father quickly. He said that winter was coming and the tortoise was going to hibernate. As expected, in December, the tortoise did not eat anything, lying on the bottom of the water, rarely active, occasionally moving, also like sleepwalking.

我怕乌龟寂寞，又买了只龙虾放在鱼缸里。结果不幸的事情发生了，一天早晨，我起床后去看乌龟，感觉有点不对劲，就急忙把它捞上来一看，它的只眼睛没有了，已经死了。我大哭起来，爸爸妈妈吓了一跳，赶紧跑过来问，我一个字也说不出来，只能指着鱼缸。爸爸告诉我可能是龙虾趁乌龟冬眠，杀死了它。我好后悔呀！

I was afraid that the tortoise would be lonely, so I bought a lobster and put it in the fish tank. Unfortunately, one morning, I went to see the tortoise when I got up. I felt something was wrong, so I quickly fished it up and saw that it had no eyes and was dead. I burst into tears. My parents were shocked. I ran to ask. I couldn't say a word. I could only point to the fish tank. Dad told me that maybe the lobster killed the tortoise while it was hibernating. I'm so sorry!

我把乌龟埋在院子里的大树下，每天仍去看它一次，每次我都在那里站了很久很久，心里默默地说：“永别了，我的好朋友——小乌龟！”

I buried the turtle under the big tree in the yard, and still went to see it once a day. Every time I stood there for a long time, I said in my heart, "goodbye, my good friend, little turtle!"
