渌江河

我生活在一个古老的小县城——醴陵。在城内有一条美丽的渌江河哺育着我们醴陵人。

I live in Liling, an old town. There is a beautiful river in the city that feeds our Liling people.

晚饭后，我和爷爷一起去河边散步，走着走着，一阵微风吹来，一股刺鼻的气味扑面而来，我赶紧捂住鼻子问爷爷：“这是什么气味？”爷爷说：“这是流入河里的下水道散发的气味。”我趴在河边的栏杆上，向下张望。果然不错，河的两边布满了大大小小的排水管，水管的口上有一堆堆白色的气泡。混浊的河面上飘浮着许多的白色的垃圾，河水深绿深绿的。爷爷摇着头叹息：“越来越脏了。”“为什么呢？”我不解地问道。爷爷说：“现在的工厂越来越多，被污染的水都流到了渌江河里，人们生活的垃圾都往河里倒，所以造成水被污染。”我又问：“那么以前的渌江河是什么样子呢？”爷爷叹了口气说：“以前的渌江河可美丽了！水清澈见底，都可以看到河底的小鱼、小虾来回游动。水草长得很茂盛。你爸爸小时候都喜欢在河里游泳，在河边捉螃蟹。大人们洗菜都喜欢在河边洗。。。。。。”听着爷爷讲，我仿佛看到了渌江河以前的美丽。

After dinner, Grandpa and I went for a walk along the river, walking, a breeze blowing, a pungent smell came, I quickly covered my nose and asked grandpa: "what is this smell?" Grandpa said, "it's the smell of sewers flowing into the river." I lay on the railing by the river and looked down. Sure enough, the two sides of the river are covered with large and small drainage pipes. There are a pile of white bubbles at the mouth of the pipes. There are many white garbage floating on the turbid river, and the river is dark green. Grandpa shook his head and sighed, "it's getting dirtier and dirtier." "Why?" I asked, puzzled. Grandpa said: "there are more and more factories now. The polluted water flows into the Lujiang River. People's garbage is poured into the river, so the water is polluted." Then I asked, "what did the other rivers look like before?" Grandpa sighed and said, "the other rivers used to be beautiful! When the water is clear, you can see the fish and shrimp swimming back and forth. The water and grass grow luxuriantly. When your father was a child, he liked to swim in the river and catch crabs by the river. Adults like to wash vegetables by the river Listen to Grandpa, I seem to see the beauty of the other rivers before.

我看着被污染的河面，好像它在对我说：“请救救我，人类朋友，不要再污染环境了。”我心里暗暗地对渌江河说：“我们一定会帮助你的！”

I looked at the polluted river as if it was saying to me, "please help me, human friend, stop polluting the environment." I said to the other river in my heart, "we will help you!"
