鹦鹉

李叔叔家有两只虎皮鹦鹉，我昨天特意去观察了一番。我原以为鹦鹉都会学人说话，而主人说这是一种不会说话的鹦鹉，让我有点失望。

Uncle Li's family has two budgies. I went to observe them yesterday. I thought all parrots could learn to talk, but the host said it was a kind of parrot that could not talk, which disappointed me a little.

但它的样子却很可爱。它的头、背和翅膀上有黑色的花纹，像老虎身上的皮，所以叫虎皮鹦鹉。它的尾巴是黑色、黄色和翠绿色相间，腹部的羽毛像绿色的地毯，还有一双浅红色的爪子，又小又圆的乌黑的眼睛下面，有一张奇怪的嘴巴，许多鸟儿的嘴巴都是朝前面长的，而它的嘴巴却是朝着下面，紧贴着羽毛。

But it looks lovely. Its head, back and wings have black patterns, like the skin of a tiger, so it's called a budgerigar. Its tail is black, yellow and turquoise. Its belly feathers are like green carpet. There are also a pair of light red claws. Under the small and round black eyes, there is a strange mouth. Many birds' mouths are long towards the front, but its mouth is facing down, clinging to the feathers.

那两只鹦鹉一会儿吃东西，一会儿打架，过一会儿又把头贴在一起，像是在说悄悄话，怪模怪样的。我去逗它，想让它飞，可它偏不吃这一套。我多想和它谈一谈，可我听不懂它说的话，急得我直跺脚。

The two parrots ate, fight and stick their heads together, as if they were whispering in a strange way. I go to tease it, want it to fly, but it does not eat this set. I want to talk to him more, but I can't understand him. I'm so anxious that I stamp my feet.

在回家的路上，我一直想着它那奇怪的嘴巴，还有那双又小又圆的乌黑的眼睛，它是那么可爱。我多想养只鹦鹉啊！

On the way home, I always thought about its strange mouth and small round black eyes. It was so lovely. How I want to have a parrot!
